Health & Safety

The health and safety of our children and families is always our highest priority. To mitigate the risks of disease transmission while children are in our care, we have adopted additional health and safety measures based on CDC guidelines, state and local regulations, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.   Last updated 1/2025.

Exterior Doors

Our new facility allows us to reduce the risk of possible infection.  Our  classrooms have exterior doors.  Each class will be able to use separate entrances/exits, helping to prevent the spread of germs between groups of students.

Health Checks

We will screen temperatures of staff and children and anyone with a temperature of at least 100.4 degrees or showing other signs of illness is not permitted to enter the facility. If a child becomes ill during the day, they will stay in a separate area while awaiting pickup.

Sanitation

We will continue our focus on handwashing and disinfecting throughout the day. Staff will wear disposable gloves for serving snacks, or when handling food items and containers at lunch time.

Safe Distancing

Pick up and drop off take place outside the facility. Seating areas and toys are spaced apart throughout the rooms.

Staff Training

All Stratford teachers complete a minimum of 16 hours of professional development and training each year.

All teachers and aides have First Aid and CPR certification.

Many staff members are  AMAT (Allergy and Anaphylaxis Medication Administration Training) certified.
